I ordered 8.5W and could have done with 8.5M but they fit well enough to keep. Better they should be a little big than a little small. You can always put a cushioned insole in them.I have no idea why they call this colour "Rust" when rust is orange-brown while these are totally burgundy, or black cherry if you want to be poetic. A rich, deep, all-over colour out of the box but when I treated them with saddle soap the dye started coming off so I limited myself to the toes and heels and the result was the same as in the listing photo where they show slightly paler at the toe. Kind of a reverse burnish. I didn't like that so I used a black cream polish on those parts and got a regular dark burnish, as in the photo - though it's not very obvious. I finished with a neutral wax shoe polish to seal the colour in and on top of that buffed with a silicone sponge, which may be going too far but I wanted to make the job as permanent as possible.I wore them today and I see that they break just in front of the broguing on the wingtip while the instep (vamp?) stays uncreased. I don't know if that will be true of any size or width. I may have just got lucky but it means mine will always look new. On the other hand, because the shoes are so dark, on even mild creases the neutral polish cracks and looks like a white 'bloom' like you get on an old chocolate. So to prevent that, they're going to need a burgundy shoe cream instead of neutral wax. That's not too much to ask for such a nice shoe. When I was working on them I noticed the aroma of good-quality leather and there's nothing flimsy about the uppers of these shoes. I can't swear it's top-grain leather, but it's quality. I have other shoes that are made in India, Cole Haans as a matter of fact, and India seems to know how to turn out a good shoe. These are going to be among my favourites.Leather quality is poor, most likely artificial leather.Yes, Yes and Yes.Yes to the previous reviews about these being too large. I ordered them one size smaller than I normally wear and they fit great. I usually go in person to buy shoes but because of the Coronavirus I took the chance and ordered online. I’ve worn them for a week now and am pretty satisfied.Yes, I ordered them in two colors, black and brown, they are identical. I can wiggle my toes which is great because I think I have toe claustrophobia, if that is a thing. It’s also great that they are very LIGHTWEIGHT.I feel like I look great wearing them which is important, almost as important as comfort. I will say they are not 5 star comfort which is why I chose a 4 star review but they do have a 5 star look. Let’s see how they hold up in the long term.Great shoes. Have tried so many different brands but nunn bush are the best I have found time and time again. I do restaurant work and walk constantly. I have to dress nice and they go with everything. They last like 8 months to a year and I wear them daily In shoe-abusive environments constantly spilling drinks, grease, food, chemicals, etc. Only shoes I buy now and just reorder whatever style I want and the size and fit is always perfect. Tried "reputable" and more expensive brands and they either fell apart immediately or destroyed my feet. Totally recommend, give them a week and you'll never go backI love these shoes. I wear them more than any other pair of dress shoes I have. I had a different pair of Nunn Bush Wingtip Oxfords when I purchased these shoes, but they were slick on the bottom so whenever it would rain I was destined for a slip (at minimum) or the dreaded slip and fall. I had a spinal cord injury when I was 17 and I lost the use of my calf muscles. As a result I walk on my heels which wears shoes out FAST. These shoes have a nice amount of tread on the bottom so they grip well and prevent slips. They're also durable and have held up well even with my odd gait. I will definitely purchase these again when my current pair starts wearing out.I own the same model (Oakdale 84774) but in brown color, and since I love these oxfords I also decided to order the black pair.I always wear a 9.5M (or women’s 11), but this particular model fits one size larger so I am glad I didn’t follow the size chart, and ordered a 8.5M instead (also the same size of my brown shoes): they fit perfectly. In the photos I have attached you can see the length of the outsole, both in inches and centimeters. However, I wasn’t happy to find MOLD all over the outsoles and sides, and also some signs of wear (visible in the photos) that should not be there since the shoes are supposedly new. The box was also damaged because shipped inside of a thin plastic envelope with no protection. I decided to keep them, and after scrubbing the outsole and sides with alcohol I was able to remove some of the mold, however it’s NOT ACCEPTABLE for this platform to sell an item that is certainly not cheap in these conditions, and that’s the reason for my 2 star rating.PS: if you are into it, you can polish these oxfords and even add a beautiful mirror glass effect on the tip like I did with mine in the last two photos.Very comfortable shoes from the start, almost as if they were already broken in, with no "new shoe" discomfort during the initial break in period. Super light, super comfortable, I wear them all day and love them. I did buy a size smaller than I normally wear based on the comments, which was the right thing to do since they run large. I normally wear a 9.5m, I went with a size 8.5m and they fit perfectly. These are on my list to purchase again once I wear these out, they look great and feel great! These are ok. They do look decent and are fairly comfortable. I have wide feet and I think they are a little too big, especially after they’re broken in. They are starting to show some wear after about 2 months. I use a leather protectant (Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam) about once every 1-2 weeks and it does keep them looking newer than they would otherwise. I got them on a good sale, but I wouldn’t be very happy if I bought them at full price.Great looking shoe but way oversized. I wear an 11 and the shoe I bought for more like a 12-12.5.Also unfortunately the size down was twice the price... I should have been able to do a straight exchange but wasn’t going to pay extra for the different size.Great looking shoe, should have bought 1/2 size but made do...had a wedding. Very hard to find 4EE or Xwide shoes.
